|  | March 29, 2008 (Saturday) - From 8pm to 9pm the Philippines joined countries around the world as literally "turn the lights out" for the 2nd Earth Hour - an event that fueled awareness on climate change and prove that people around the world working together can make a difference in the growing fight against global warming.
The Cultural Center of the Philippines’ fountain area served as the backdrop for the countdown event where Philippine Earth Hour Ambassadors came together with the local press for a symbolic “switch off.”
It was a great and inspiring event, it was an unexplainable feeling to see the entire stretch of Roxas Boulevard with the lights off. I wish I could do more to help and contribute to counter global warming. I have always loved mother earth and believe that change is only possible in the present. We should have an open mind and be aware of our social responsibility and do something about it.
